A Beginning

Hello, and welcome to my blog.  My intent for this blog is to share my passion, Digital Scrapbooking, with you.

I use Artisan by Panstoria.  It is a wonderful tool!  You do have to purchase the software though, as well as digital content, although there is a lot of free digital content out there, Panstoria sells digital kits as well.  There are also a lot of wonderful designers who create beautiful kits.

I am also a member of Pixels2Pages.net.  The "Pixies" are licensed trainers in Panstoria's Artisan, and Historian (a program that organizes your photos for you), and they are FABULOUS!  Every month, with your membership, you receive a digital kit they call "Pixie Dust", and a set of "Blueprints", which are page layouts that you drop your pictures into and add papers and embellishments.  In my opinion, the membership is well worth it for the blueprints alone.  Plus, you get access to videos, tips and tidbits, and challenges to help you learn how to use the software.  If it can be done in Artisan or Historian, the Pixies know how to do it.  They also have a Facebook page - Pixels2Pages-Facebook,  Here, you can ask all kinds of questions, and get all kinds of tips as well.  The Pixies do a great job of monitoring their page, so you can be sure you will get an answer to any question you post.

If purchasing your own software and kits isn't the way you want to go, but you would like to try digital scrapbooking, then check out Heritage Makers.  With Heritage Makers, you upload your photos to their website and create your photobooks using their online software, which includes tons of digital content.  You pay a membership fee (varying depending on level), which is turned into "Publishing Points".  When you print your project, you use those publishing points.

So whatever way you choose, there is a digital solution for you.

I hope to highlight some digital designers in the future, as well as post pages that I have created from time to time.

See you soon!
Barb
